I’m Not crying, Your Crying! Wakanda Forever Trailer Reaction
Hopefully now that San Diego Comic-Con is a thing of the past and you have had a chance to dry your eyes and feel ALL the feels. Let's talk about the Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever trailer!
Hello, Popcorn and Pizza lovers,
Allow me to begin by saying that I am very hyped for Black Panther 2 and I truly feel that it will be one of the most mind-blowing things to emerge from Phase 4. I’m not normally one to get over-excited about a trailer but let’s face it this one was very special. It really did have a bit of everything. It set the tone of the upcoming movie, it gave us a sense of what to expect and for once didn’t give too much away (I’m looking at you Multiverse Of Madness!)
The Seemingly impossible task.
I think Ryan Coogler had an almost impossible task when making this movie. Not only did he have to make a sequel to the hugely successful first movie (which was the first film in the MCU to win an Academy Award), but he also had to do it without the leading actor of the movie. There are so many things that could go wrong with Wakanda Forever and I am sure this is a very different version of the movie than what was originally planned. Not only did Ryan Coogler have to make losing Chadwick Boseman a part of the movie but also pay tribute to the late great actor and I think we can all agree even just by the 2 minutes of this movie we have already seen this will be a memorable and fitting tribute. This is not to mention the trials and tribulations of making an MCU film in general. The weight and expectations of the fans, fitting the movie into the ever-expanding universe, the introductions to new and very important characters (Dr.Doom anyone?). The trailer of this movie somehow just ticks all the boxes. Not only does the footage look fantastic, but it makes you feel something. If you are anything like me you probably felt it more than you expected to. Hands up who broke down when they heard Remonda speak those powerful words and then the shot cuts to a memorial of T'challa 🤚
“I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone! Have I not given everything?” Ramonda
Conclusion -
Overall, I think this trailer did an amazing job and giving us a sense of what movie we are going to be watching in November. We all knew it would be emotional but I don’t think anybody expected it to be as emotional as it was. Other than the pure emotion it got me excited. Excited not only to see the movie but to find out how these characters move forward and where the Black Panther goes in future movies.
